Brexit Update from Flexicon
Effective from 1st January 2021, the UK and EU have agreed a Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) which provides for tariff and quota-free trade with the EU.
This now requires documentation with regards to Country of origin to support our Customers claims for the preferential tariff free rate. We can support our Customers with the following documentation, contact us for more details;
- Long-Term Supplier Declaration – a new non-EU declaration that our products are of UK origin will be important for our European customers to ensure goods continue uninterrupted through UK and EU customs borders. This will normally be valid for 12 months from date of issue and can be held at a EU office against a portfolio of products.
- Statement of Origin specific to the date of issue for any consignment as required
- Certificates of Origin specific to the date of issue for any product line(s) as required
We have an EORI No. 258192678000 and we have responded to EU advice by migrating our product validation to EU based Notified Bodies, so we will continue to use the accepted CE marking of our products.
Our European customers will need to have their own EORI number which we are happy to hold for reference to avoid any delay in the despatch of consignments.
